Your company now uses Mobilise by Gigged.AI, the work orchestration platform for technology teams. Mobilise breaks projects into tasks and matches each one to the best person, AI agent, or both, which opens up more ways for you to use your skills and grow across the organisation.
This FAQ answers common questions about how it works and what it means for you. For step-by-step instructions, see the employee section of the knowledge centre.
About Mobilise
1. What is Mobilise?
Mobilise gives your organisation one live view of every human skill and AI agent available across its technology teams. It uses that view to put the right mix of people and agents on each project.
For you, it means your skills are visible to teams across the company. You can be matched to projects and roles you might never have heard about otherwise.
2. How does Mobilise work?
Mobilise has three core features:
Map captures your skills in your profile and maps them to a taxonomy of 10,600+ technology skills. People and AI agents are described in one common language.
Mobilise takes a project brief from a manager and breaks it into tasks. Each task is matched to the best fit: a person, an AI agent, or a person supported by an agent.
Measure gives leaders live dashboards on utilisation and skills gaps, so they can see where capability sits and where it's needed.
Because projects are broken into tasks, you don't need to fit an entire role to be matched. You can be matched to the specific parts of a project that use your skills.
3. How will Mobilise benefit me?
Visibility: your skills are seen by teams across the company, not just your own.
New skills: work on tasks outside your usual role.
More opportunities: task-level matching means more ways to contribute, even to projects you couldn't fully staff on your own.
Less routine work: where AI agents are a good fit for repetitive tasks, you can focus on the work that needs your expertise.
Networking: collaborate with different teams and departments.
Your profile and finding work
4. How do I create my profile?
When you first log in, you'll be prompted to create a profile. It takes under two minutes. Include:
Skills and experience: your core competencies, technical skills and past experience. Mobilise maps these to its skills taxonomy.
Career interests: areas you'd like to explore or grow into.
Keep your profile up to date. It's what Mobilise uses to match you to tasks.
5. How does matching work?
When a manager creates a project, Mobilise breaks it into tasks and identifies the skills each one needs. It then looks for the best fit for each task, considering:
Your skills and proficiency levels.
Your experience.
Your career interests and development goals.
Your current availability.
Some tasks will be best done by a person, some by an AI agent, and some by a person working with an agent. The more complete your profile, the more accurately you'll be matched.
6. How do I find projects and roles?
You can browse available opportunities at any time. Mobilise also recommends tasks and projects based on your profile. You can apply for roles, or express interest in tasks that match your skills or help you learn new ones.
7. What types of opportunities are available?
Tasks within projects: specific pieces of work that use your skills, often alongside other people and AI agents.
Cross-functional projects that need your expertise.
Permanent roles in other departments that fit your career goals.
8. Can I apply for opportunities outside my current role?
Absolutely. Exploring work outside your usual job description is one of the main benefits of Mobilise. It's a great way to build new skills and gain diverse experience.
9. What should I do if I'm interested in an opportunity?
Click "Apply" or "Express Interest", depending on the type of opportunity. The manager will review your profile and contact you about next steps if it's a good fit.
Working on tasks
10. Will taking on tasks affect my current role?
Tasks and projects on Mobilise are designed to be flexible. You can usually take them on alongside your current role, as long as your workload allows. Always discuss new opportunities with your manager first, so they don't conflict with your main responsibilities.
11. Will I be working with AI agents?
You might be. When Mobilise breaks a project into tasks, some may be matched to AI agents, and some to a person supported by an agent. Agents are placed where they add value, typically on routine or repetitive work. That frees you to focus on the parts of the project that need your skills and judgement.
Growing your career
12. Can I use Mobilise for career development?
Yes. You can take on tasks that build new skills, explore work in other departments, and connect with colleagues across the company. Mobilise gives you visibility of areas you might not have considered before.
13. How does Mobilise support my long-term career goals?
Mobilise isn't just for short-term work. You can explore roles and areas you might want to move into long-term. Each task and project adds skills and experience that help you progress, while staying within the organisation.
14. What if I don't see opportunities that fit my skills or interests?
Set up alerts to be notified when new projects or roles are posted. In the meantime, update your profile with any new skills or interests, so Mobilise can match you more accurately.
15. How can I make the most of Mobilise?
Keep your profile up to date with your latest skills and experience.
Browse opportunities regularly and apply for tasks, projects or roles that interest you.
Be open to new experiences, even outside your comfort zone. It's a great way to learn and grow.
